Copyright: T. Russell Parker Some of you may have wondered about the cover of A World Without War: Unwanted. It's such a simple, yet bold design with the title standing out on the primary color of Capitol Street Academy. But what is that symbol with the 1 inside it? Glad you asked! You see, one of the things I had to do before writing the story, was create my own magic system. My story couldn't be told without one, but I had to make sense of it for myself and visualization helped with that, much like the character artwork-drawn by Kelsey Rushing- helped me describe my characters while writing.
So, after some time playing with shapes in Photoshop, I came up with the symbols for each of the three magical cores of the World Without War Universe. Those are Physical, Natural, and Spiritual. While I will not be going into what each one does, I will say there is some significance to these symbols, but only time can reveal why. Magic is a big part of the series and it is the reason why this world has taken a different path from our own. As for the 1 in the middle, it's there simply to show those who stumble upon the book that it's the first in the 4-book series so no need to look into that too much. I'm curious to know which symbol looks the most appealing to you and what do you think the magical cores do in the world?

Well, I for one like them.all but the one that caught my eye is the spiritual one...maybe because of the colors and design but it's my favorite! I can't imagine to work you had to put into trying to figure out the magic for these characters.
